Thanks for your interest in becoming a member of the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma!
The Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma offers three options for membership: individuals, organizations and the Business Council. View the options below about how you can get involved as a member of the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma.
Why become a member?
Becoming a member of the Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma is an easy way to ensure clean water, habitat for wildlife, public spaces in nature and resources for outdoor recreational activities in our great state.
You vote with your conscience. You may not have the time or resources to dedicate to keeping a close, daily watch on legislation regarding your interests in conservation. Let the Coalition take the responsibility by doing the research, fighting for your interests and reporting back to you on a regular basis.
Your membership supports the Coalition’s efforts to hold Oklahoma’s legislative officials accountable, research ways we can improve conservation in our great state and organize grassroots efforts to defeat dangerous legislation, such as State Question 777 in 2016.
How does the Coalition fight dangerous legislation?
We work with conservation-focused organizations across the state, develop working relationships with conservation-friendly legislators and employ a lobbyist to keep a close eye on upcoming bills and legislation and how it could affect our water, land and wildlife.
We were one of the organizations at the forefront of the opposition to State Question 777 in 2016, known as the Right to Farm Bill. Support from members like you helped us educate the public on a statewide scale, create solid partnerships with likeminded organizations and ultimately, defeat a bill that had the potential to create devastating consequences to our land, water and wildlife, both urban and rural.
